Notary Public Services

Yasmin Kearse is commissioned by the state of South Carolina as a Notary Public.

notary’s main functions are to administer oaths and affirmations, take affidavits and statutory declarations, witness and authenticate the execution of certain classes of documents, take acknowledgments of deeds and other conveyances, protest notes, and bills of exchange, provide notice of foreign drafts, prepare.

The notary examines and copies an individual’s form of identification and requests a signature for the record. If the notary suspects misrepresentation, he or she is under no obligation to signs, stamp, and date the transaction being requested.

Some notarial acts in which I provide services include:

  • Wills
  • Trusts
  • Advanced directives
  • Executorships
  • Custody and guardianship agreements
  • Power of attorney
  • Court documents
  • Financial documents
  • Business documents
  • Take acknowledgments.
  • Administer oaths and affirmations.
  • Execute attestations and jurats.
  • Witness signatures.
  • Take verifications of fact.
  • Perform marriage ceremonies
  • Any other acts authorized by law

As a notary, I may refuse to notarize a document if the notarization violates the State Laws or the notarization cannot be done properly on reasonable grounds. Unlawful transactions, incapable of identifying the signer, signer’s incapacity are common causes of notarization refusal.
